The Tone:
This is a hands-on, immersive internship at a global luxury brand, located in New York. The company offers a unique opportunity for design or business students to gain invaluable insights into the luxury market by working directly alongside the Director – USA Operations. This role is crucial for supporting the brand’s presence in one of the world’s most competitive design markets, offering direct involvement in client conversations and real business activities from day one.

• Mission: To support the operational, client engagement, and market research functions essential for a global luxury brand’s success in the US design market.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Showroom Operations: Support day-to-day showroom operations, managing client appointments and trade visitor interactions to uphold the brand’s luxury standards.
• Client Documentation: Prepare compelling client presentations, product look books, detailed pricing proposals, and comprehensive custom project documentation for clientele.
• Logistics & Production: Coordinate essential sample requests, manage meticulous order follow-ups, and communicate with the India HQ team regarding production timelines and logistics updates.
• Market Analysis: Contribute to insightful market research focused on current US interior design trends, competitor activities, upcoming trade shows, and identifying new business opportunities.
• Event & Data Management: Support the planning and seamless execution of exclusive showroom events and trade activations, while maintaining client databases, meeting notes, and sales tracking records.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A current student or recent graduate (within the last 12 months) from a design, interior design, or business school.
• Experience: Demonstrated comfort engaging with high-profile clients, discerning designers, and influential industry professionals within a sophisticated, high-end showroom environment.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal presence, exceptional communication, high organization, meticulous attention to detail, genuine eagerness to learn, capability to expertly handle multiple tasks, and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Bonus: Preference for students from top institutions such as Parsons School of Design, Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Pratt Institute, Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Cornell, or equivalent; a genuine passion for luxury design, interiors, and exquisite craftsmanship.
