Litigation Staff in Training | Morgan & Morgan, P.A.

This role is pivotal as it provides foundational training to support attorneys and case staff in the winning fight for consumer rights.

• Mission: To train for an eventual move into a Litigation Paralegal position, supporting the firm’s mission of fighting for consumer rights.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Shadowing: Shadow Litigation Paralegals to learn key processes and best practices.
• Information Gathering: Gather and analyze relevant information pertaining to injury claims.
• Case Investigation: Investigate the nature and facts of various legal cases.
• Document Drafting: Draft pleadings, motions, and appellate documents for court filing.
• Settlement Preparation: Prepare documents and correspondence necessary to reach a settlement in each case.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an Administrative Assistant, Receptionist, or Support Role.
• Skills: Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and demonstrate attention to detail; strong written and verbal communication skills, including good presentation skills; extensive expertise in computer programs, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite; ability to type no less than 35 wpm.
• Bonus: Experience preferably in a law firm setting or in a corporate legal department; willingness to learn and work with multiple employees within the organization.
