The Tone:

This firm specializes in public law and litigation, providing essential legal services to its clients. The Litigation Legal Assistant is a critical support position, enabling four or more senior attorneys to effectively manage their high-volume practices and ensure seamless operations for the firm. The role operates on a tiered hybrid model, blending onsite presence with remote flexibility over time.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage attorney communications, including fielding calls, scheduling conference calls, and conveying messages to clients and courts.
• Prepare and process various legal and administrative documents such as agendas, reports, and correspondence.
• Handle administrative tasks including time entry, opening new matters, drafting engagement letters, processing reimbursement expenses, and maintaining calendars.
• Organize and maintain legal files, both paper and electronic, by filing documents in designated order and processing correspondence.
• Manage document deliveries and accurately track final executed documentation for attorneys.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; prior experience supporting litigation & public law attorneys in a law firm or corporate legal department setting.
• Experience: Substantive Federal & State e-filing experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; experience with document management and other office technologies.
• Skills: Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; effective time management; excellent interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration.
• Bonus: Appellate experience; knowledge of DocuSign.
