Job Summary

As a Lift Attendant, you are responsible for welcoming customers by greeting them and offering them assistance, safely loading and unloading guests from the SkyLift Chairs. This role involves promoting safety procedures and making decisions concerning guests’ safety while exhibiting excellent customer service.

Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to):

  • Assisting guests on and off the scenic chairlift safely.
  • Starting, stopping, and adjusting speed of lifts.
  • Ensuring guests are safely seated and using safety bars.
  • Keeping terminal areas clean and orderly.
  • Promoting safety procedures at all times.
  • Performing maintenance in terminal areas and other areas as needed.
  • Assisting in daily lift inspections and preparation.
  • Providing resort information for guests.
  • Assisting guests with any inquiries or issues.
  • Attending required trainings and meetings.
  • Performing any end-of-shift cleanup tasks or closing tasks as related to your shift.
  • Must work your scheduled shift and follow uniform policy procedures.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by your manager or Shift Supervisor.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications (knowledge, skills, certifications, education, etc.):

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Achieved a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and be flexible with schedule changes.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to follow all safety procedures and precautions for this position.
  • Must be competent in all Evac procedures through trainings.
  • Must adhere to policies and procedures in the GSLP Handbook.

Preferred Qualifications (knowledge, skills, certifications, education, etc.):

  • Enjoys working outside in various weather conditions.
  • Enjoys customer service positions while helping and interacting with guests.
  • Previous experience in chairlift operations.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to stand for 6-8 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Work Environment

This is an outdoor position with exposure to the elements at times.

Position Type And Expected Hours Of Work

This position is a full-time, year-round day or night and weekend position. Overtime may or may not be available.

Travel

No traveling is required for this position.
