Litigation Legal Secretary (Personal Injury) | Trueline Talent
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Trueline’s client, located in Sacramento, CA. The client is a well-established and growing plaintiff-side law firm, dedicated to supporting clients through complex personal injury cases that regularly proceed to trial. This role is integral to helping attorneys prepare these significant cases for trial, offering an opportunity to build a long-term career within a collaborative team environment.
The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Stable Monday through Friday schedule (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Location: In-person, Sacramento, CA
• Pay: $90000 yearly
• Mission: This person ensures efficient case progression and provides primary administrative support for attorneys handling plaintiff-side personal injury litigation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Serve as the primary administrative support for attorneys handling plaintiff-side personal injury litigation.
• Calendar: Manage a high-volume litigation calendar, coordinating court deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial schedules.
• Document Preparation & Filing: Draft and prepare pleadings, notices, subpoenas, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents, and file them in California state and federal courts.
• Coordination: Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, medical providers, and process servers, including scheduling expert witnesses and trial-related activities.
• Litigation Support: Support attorneys through all phases of litigation, including comprehensive trial preparation, while maintaining electronic and physical case files.
The Must-Haves
• Background: An experienced legal secretary with a strong understanding of California court procedures and filing deadlines.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of recent law firm experience (within the past two years), specifically supporting plaintiff or defense litigation matters, with experience drafting litigation documents and coordinating court filings.
• Skills: Excellent calendaring and deadline management abilities, strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities, and professional communication skills with a positive, team-first attitude.
• Bonus: Personal injury litigation experience, experience supporting attorneys through trial, coordinating expert witnesses, discovery management experience, handling subpoenas and process service, and familiarity with CasePeer or similar legal case management software.
