The Tone:
This is an internship at Rubrik, a Security and AI Operations company specializing in data protection, cyber resilience, and enterprise AI acceleration. This role supports Rubrik’s Legal Team, which provides critical guidance across the business, handling everything from commercial law and SaaS agreements to intellectual property and privacy. As a Legal Intern, you will gain valuable in-house legal experience at a high-growth, public technology company.

• Team: Rubrik’s Legal Team, with rotations across Corporate, Commercial, and Intellectual Property sub-teams
• Mission: This intern will provide comprehensive legal support across corporate, commercial, and intellectual property matters to uphold Rubrik’s mission.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assist: the corporate legal team with corporate governance matters, international subsidiary management, anti-corruption initiatives, and corporate transactions.
• Support: Rubrik’s commercial legal team in reviewing and negotiating contracts with customers and partners.
• Implement: legal processes and AI tools to enhance commercial operations and ensure data privacy compliance.
• Collaborate: with the intellectual property legal team to review product claims and licensing provisions.
• Aid: the intellectual property legal team in the preparation and filing of patent and trademark applications.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently an L2 pursuing a J.D. or L.L.M. (or equivalent) at an ABA-accredited law school.
• Experience: Early Career professional eager to learn in a technology-focused environment.
• Skills: Critical attention to detail, along with exceptional writing, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Bonus: Prior experience with corporate and commercial transactions for technology companies, whether gained in-house or at a law firm, is a plus.
