The Tone:
This is a Legal Administrative Assistant position at David Cabo and Associates. Our firm operates a busy law office, dedicated to providing critical legal services with a particular focus on bankruptcy matters. This role is fundamental to the operational success of our legal department, as it provides essential, day-to-day support to our team of attorneys and paralegals. The individual in this position will play a key role in ensuring that all bankruptcy cases are managed efficiently and effectively, directly contributing to the firm’s ability to serve its clients.

The TL;DR
• Role: Legal Administrative Assistant
• Location: In-person, Austin, TX
• Pay: $25–$30 hourly
• Team: Supports attorneys and paralegals.
• Mission: Ensures efficient administrative and case management support for attorneys and paralegals handling bankruptcy matters.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Correspondence Management: Systematically manage all incoming and outgoing office correspondence, including emails and physical mail, to ensure timely communication and maintain organized records for all legal matters.
• Case Data Administration: Meticulously enter, update, and maintain comprehensive bankruptcy case data within the firm’s specialized systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity of all client and case information.
• Court Document Processing: Expertly prepare a variety of legal documents, pleadings, and forms, subsequently ensuring their accurate and timely filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in strict compliance with all procedural requirements.
• Office Operations Support: Provide robust general administrative support across the office, which includes tasks such as scheduling, document organization, and managing office supplies, to facilitate the smooth daily operations of the law practice.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a solid background as an experienced professional in legal administration, demonstrating comprehensive familiarity with the specific intricacies and processes involved in bankruptcy matters.
• Experience: Exhibit proven prior experience supporting attorneys and paralegals, effectively handling the demands and responsibilities typically found within a bustling legal office environment.
• Skills: Demonstrate exceptional organizational abilities, possess a keen and unwavering attention to detail in all tasks, and consistently produce work product of the highest quality standards.
• Bonus: Consistently able to perform and maintain high levels of productivity while working efficiently and effectively within a demanding and fast-paced legal environment.
