Job Title: Learning & Development Intern

Job Description Overview:

APCO’s Learning & Development team is seeking a forward-thinking and enthusiastic senior or recent graduate for a full-time paid internship program. This internship provides invaluable hands-on experience in instructional design, strategy, and communications, while allowing you to contribute to impactful learning initiatives across the organization. The internship is based in APCO’s Washington, DC office, embracing a flexible, hybrid working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Learning and Development team across various functions, including global Client Business Management learning programs, research, and data analytics.
  • Assist in the planning and management of the calendar for all global learning programs.
  • Partner with the Learning and Development Coordinator to manage APCO’s global learning management system.
  • Support the development of APCO’s Learning and Development internal communications.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, digital filing, contracts/POs, and invoices.
  • Participate in general research and analysis on special Learning Development projects, gaining practical experience in many aspects of the field.

Qualifications:

  • Recent college graduate or senior in class standing.
  • Major in human resource management, business, or learning technology preferred.
  • Excellent communication/customer service skills.
  • Collaborative team player who can also work independently, demonstrating self-starter qualities, initiative, and the ability to set priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information at all times.
  • Strong attention to organizational and grammatical detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft products preferred (specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams).
  • Experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  • Available to work 40 hours per week.
  • Requires US Work Authorization; candidates with CPT/OPT/Post-OPT status cannot be considered.

Working Hours & Environment:

  • Interns work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • APCO is committed to a hybrid and flexible working environment. You will have the option to work from home on some days and come into the office on others to engage with colleagues and explore the company culture.
  • A company laptop will be provided for seamless work from both home and office.

Compensation:

  • This is a paid internship at a fixed hourly rate of $17.95.

Key Dates:

  • Application Closing Date: Friday, February 27th
  • Internship Commencement: Tuesday, June 16th
  • Internship End Date: Friday, December 11th, 2026
