The Tone:
This is a full-time, strategic role at AvePoint, located in Singapore, focused on public sector impact. AvePoint is seeking an experienced designer to guide UX design practices across the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) cluster. This position is critical for translating business objectives into user-centered design solutions that enhance citizen-facing applications and internal systems, ultimately improving social services and policy implementation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Guide: Guide UX design practices across the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) cluster, ensuring user-centered approaches are embedded in projects.
• Lead: Lead cross-ministry initiatives and collaborate with senior stakeholders from policy, operations, and technology teams across multiple projects and teams.
• Facilitate: Facilitate design workshops, critique sessions, and collaborative design activities to foster innovation and alignment.
• Develop: Translate complex business objectives and policy requirements into clear, user-centered design solutions for diverse applications.
• Mentor: Mentor and develop design talent, working to establish and mature a culture of design excellence within the organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Senior-level UX/UI design professional with a focus on strategic leadership and product thinking.
• Experience: 8+ years of progressive UX/UI design experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity, demonstrating a proven track record of leading design initiatives across multiple projects simultaneously and working with senior stakeholders and C-level executives.
• Skills: Expert proficiency in design tools, strong understanding of responsive design, design systems, and component libraries, and exceptional presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
• Bonus: Experience in government, enterprise, or large-scale organizational settings is highly preferred, along with a demonstrated curiosity about social services, policy, and public sector challenges, and the ability to operate effectively with ambiguity in a maturing design function.
