This role is critical as AI is a top strategic priority for the company, and the Bengaluru design team is central to shaping how users trust and interact with autonomous AI products.

• Mission: Owns the quality of design work across AI products, building user trust in autonomous systems where the design playbook is still evolving.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Designers: Manage and develop a small team of designers, conducting 1:1s, providing feedback, setting clear expectations, and investing in their growth.
• Own Design Quality: Oversee and critically review the design quality across AI products, ensuring designs make autonomous systems legible and trustworthy.
• Champion User Perspective: Represent the user’s voice in product and engineering discussions, prioritizing user understanding over AI capabilities.
• Partner with PM and Engineering: Collaborate as a peer with product and engineering counterparts, advocating for design’s value and influencing direction.
• Lead AI Interaction Design: Apply a genuine point of view on AI interaction design, addressing trust, transparency, and human-in-the-loop moments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager of Product Design with a focus on technically complex B2B or enterprise software, addressing real technical users and high-stakes production environments.
• Experience: 8+ years of product design experience, including meaningful time on technically complex B2B or enterprise software, plus 2–4 years of direct people management.
• Skills: Genuine curiosity about AI product design with a developing point of view on trust, transparency, and human-in-the-loop design. Experience working in ambiguity and across time zones with strong written and verbal English communication. Comfort working in code-adjacent tools like Claude Code and VS Code, along with a portfolio demonstrating design process and problem-solving.
• Bonus: Hands-on experience designing AI-native products (e.g., agentic workflows, autonomous systems, AI confidence visualization), experience with observability, incident response, or developer-facing infrastructure products, familiarity with design systems, and experience hiring and growing a design team.
