LEAD Associate | TowneBank

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at TowneBank, located in Suffolk, VA for initial training, followed by placement in one of Towne’s regions. What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate: Engage in comprehensive onsite training at the bank’s headquarters in Suffolk, VA.
• Rotate: Complete specific job rotations throughout headquarters in Hampton Roads during the first half of the program.
• Train: Receive specific on-the-job training within a selected Career Track (e.g., Retail, Commercial, Mortgage, Insurance, Audit, Accounting, Technology, Risk Management) in one of Towne’s regions.
• Develop: Enhance professional skills and knowledge, including presentation skills, advanced communication, business etiquette, ethics, and financial management, through classroom and online learning, special projects, and group activities.
• Network: Build professional connections, receive mentoring from program graduates and executives, participate in employee resource groups, and engage with local community organizations through volunteerism.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Completed bachelor’s degree with coursework in Financial and Managerial Accounting, Economics, and Computer skills for business (spreadsheets, documents, presentations).
• Experience: Demonstrated initiative, work ethic, and leadership experience through community and/or extra-curricular involvement.
• Skills: Strong foundational understanding of financial management and business etiquette, coupled with developing presentation and advanced communication abilities, and proficiency in business software.
• Bonus: Participation in a university leadership or honors program, with preferred coursework in Intro to Finance, Commercial Banking or Money & Banking, Statistics, Business Information Technology, and Marketing.
