About the Role: The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Data Scientist to spearhead critical projects, drive innovation, and mentor a talented team of data scientists. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for end-to-end development and deployment of advanced analytical models, translating complex data into actionable insights that inform strategic business decisions. You will work closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders, influencing product roadmaps and delivering measurable value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex data science projects from conception to deployment, including problem definition, data acquisition, model development, validation, and monitoring.
• Design and implement robust machine learning models (e.g., predictive, prescriptive, generative AI) for various applications, optimizing for performance, scalability, and interpretability.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level data scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence, best practices, and continuous learning within the team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and business analysts to identify opportunities, define requirements, and integrate data science solutions into production systems.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, feature stores, and model deployment infrastructure in collaboration with MLOps and Data Engineering teams.
• Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, driving consensus and informed decision-making.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI research, evaluating and integrating new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
• Champion data-driven decision-making across the organization, promoting rigorous experimentation and statistical analysis.

What You’ll Bring

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 7+ years of experience in data science or machine learning roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior capacity.
• Expert proficiency in Python and its data science ecosystem (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch).
• Strong foundation in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, experimental design, and causal inference.
• Extensive experience with SQL and working with large-scale datasets in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven ability to develop, validate, and deploy production-grade machine learning models.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring, project management, and strategic thinking.
• Experience with A/B testing, hypothesis testing, and statistical significance.

• Experience with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Dask).
• Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow).
• Prior experience in our specific industry (e.g., Fintech, Healthcare, E-commerce).

• Experience working with generative AI models or large language models (LLMs).
