• Mission: Lead culinary functions to meet food quality goals, financial objectives, facilities maintenance, and personnel development.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Culinary Leadership: Direct kitchen staff, coordinate food orders, and oversee food preparation and cooking, ensuring consistent plating, temperature, and portion control for excellent food quality.
• Staff Development: Train kitchen personnel on prep techniques and food presentation, fostering their growth and development, and assist with staff scheduling.
• Operational Compliance: Uphold high standards for kitchen sanitation and safety, ensuring proper food storage in compliance with safety practices and promoting all health and safety rules.
• Financial Management: Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to price menu items, procure necessary food supplies and kitchen equipment, and maintain accurate weekly and monthly cost reports.
• Adaptability: Take on additional responsibilities outside of the core job post as needed, contributing to the team’s overall success in a collaborative environment.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with core domain knowledge in food product, presentation, quality, preparation, menu concept, and design.
• Experience: 1 year of experience in a related or supportive culinary role is preferred.
• Skills: Strong time management and organizational abilities for high-quality food production, capability to work with minimal direction, excellent written communication, and proactive initiative.
• Bonus: Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
