Lawn Care Technician | Hughes Exterminators

What You’ll Actually Do
• Route Management: Manage your own service route, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery to customers.
• Property Inspection: Conduct thorough property inspections to identify insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and other contributing factors.
• Treatment Application: Utilize hand and powered equipment to apply a range of treatments including fertilizer, insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides.
• Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to understand their specific issues, explain proposed treatment plans, and answer any questions they may have.
• Financial Responsibilities: Collect payments upon completion of services and suggest additional services that could further benefit the customer.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent, with core domain knowledge in lawn care and ornamental pest control.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to pass the state of Florida’s Best Management Practices exam for lawncare and maintain any state regulatory agency required licensing, along with passing internal technical exams. Possess a current Driver’s License in the state of work and maintain a driving record consistent with company standards.
• Skills: Expert customer service, diagnostic evaluation of lawn and ornamental conditions, proficient application of various chemical treatments, operation and maintenance of hand and powered equipment, and independent route planning.
