What You’ll Actually Do
• Analysis: Analyze and review client accounting records and financial statements.
• Evaluation: Evaluate internal control systems, audit risk, materiality, and compliance with GAAS through inquiry, observation, and review.
• Documentation: Prepare detailed workpapers to support audit procedures.
• Testing: Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures on financial data.
• Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather information and clarify audit issues.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, graduating in the upcoming academic year.
• Experience: Entry-level position for accounting majors.
• Skills: GPA of 3.0 or higher, strong communication and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills, team-oriented with a desire to learn and grow, proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: 150 credit hours, prior internship experience with a public accounting firm, experience with audit software.
