The Tone:
This is an internship at LattaHarris, LLP. LattaHarris is an accounting firm providing essential services in accounting and tax. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and learn from seasoned professionals in the field. The intern will play a key supporting role in the firm’s operations, contributing to the accurate and timely completion of tasks and overall client success.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship / Volunteer

• Team: Reports to the Accounting and/or Tax Leader
• Mission: To assist with various accounting tasks, provide support to team members, and contribute to the overall success of the firm.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Entry: Input financial transactions into accounting software to maintain accurate records.
• Financial Reporting: Aid in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and supporting documentation.
• Audit & Compliance: Support senior staff members with auditing procedures and compliance tasks.
• Tax Preparation: Assist with organizing documents, performing data entry, and completing calculations for tax preparation.
• Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience: No specific years required; experience gained through academic coursework.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word); strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
