Sales and Leadership Trainee – Spring 2027 | Yancey Bros. Co.

The Tone:
This is a full-time training program at Yancey Bros. Co., a Georgia-based company serving as the authorized Caterpillar equipment dealer since 1914. The organization provides sales, parts, and service for heavy and compact construction equipment, as well as on-highway trucks, committed to meeting customers’ evolving needs. This Sales and Leadership Trainee role is designed to recruit the next generation of high-performance leaders, offering an entry-level pathway into sales and subsequent leadership positions. The program aims to build participants’ sales and operational capabilities, launching a long and rewarding career within the company.

What You’ll Actually Do
Train: Engage in a structured 12-week program, combining in-person and computer-based learning focused on sales and leadership fundamentals.
Shadow: Gain exposure to multiple departments and functions through job shadowing, on-the-job learning, and rotational assignments.
Develop: Strengthen skills and broaden organizational understanding by participating in interactive classroom sessions and leadership development activities.
Integrate: Immerse in Yancey’s culture and core values, building specific job skills within an initial “home base assignment.”
Connect: Build relationships and gather insights from team members across all company levels while exploring different business areas.

The Must-Haves
Background: Entry-Level. Candidates should possess a college degree or related equivalent experience. A long-term interest in pursuing future sales and leadership opportunities with Yancey Bros. Co. is preferred.
Experience: Demonstrated success in prior work or volunteer roles is required, particularly within sales, retail, management, or customer service environments.
Skills: Effectively communicate sales, parts, and service solutions through telephone, in-person interactions, and technology. Possess a high level of energy, a strong work ethic, and a sense of urgency to provide superior customer service. Exhibit the ability to apply judgment and creativity in solving business concerns, and comfortably work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
