Kaizen Summer Sales Intern | Kaizen

The Tone:
This is an in-person internship at Kaizen. Kaizen Marketing helps clients grow their businesses by improving sales processes and customer engagement solutions. This role is vital for driving growth through lead generation, service demonstrations, and strategic account management, providing hands-on experience in business development and sales cycle solutions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Outside Sales: Engage in outside sales activities by identifying potential clients and building strong relationships through cold calling and direct outreach.
• Territory Management: Assist in managing territory sales by analyzing market trends and developing strategies to expand the customer base.
• Service Demonstrations: Conduct service demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, effectively upselling solutions that meet client needs.
• Lead Generation: Support lead generation efforts using CRM software to track prospects and manage follow-up activities.
• Client Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career, currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a business, marketing, or related program with a strong interest in sales, marketing, or management.
• Experience: Demonstrated enthusiasm for outside sales, B2B transactions, and a foundational understanding of sales cycles.
• Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and build strong rapport with clients. Strong analytical skills are required to interpret conversations, understand client needs, and determine the best path forward, alongside the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently with keen attention to detail.
• Bonus: Familiarity with CRM software is preferred, and prior experience in retail sales, cold calling, or account management is a plus.
