What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Acquisition: Engage in outside sales activities by identifying potential clients and building strong relationships through cold calling and direct outreach.
• Market Strategy: Manage territory sales by analyzing market trends and developing strategies to expand the customer base effectively.
• Product Presentation: Conduct service demonstrations to clearly showcase product features and benefits, upselling solutions that precisely meet client needs.
• Prospect Management: Support lead generation efforts using CRM software to accurately track prospects and manage follow-up activities.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate with management on business development initiatives to identify new opportunities and continuously improve sales processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates must be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a business, marketing, or a closely related program. A strong, demonstrated interest in sales, marketing, or general management principles is essential for this role.
• Experience: Applicants should have a clear enthusiasm for participating in outside sales activities, understanding B2B transactions, and navigating complete sales cycles. Practical familiarity with CRM software is a necessary component for managing prospects and tracking activities efficiently.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are paramount, alongside the proven ability to negotiate effectively and build strong, lasting rapport with diverse clients. Strong analytical skills are critical for interpreting client conversations and strategically guiding them through appropriate solution paths. Furthermore, the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while consistently maintaining a high level of attention to detail is required.
• Bonus: While not strictly required, prior experience in areas such as retail sales, cold calling, or account management will be considered a significant advantage.
