The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Guggenheim Investments, located in New York City. Guggenheim Investments is a leading asset management firm seeking a highly motivated professional to support its Corporate Credit trading desk. This role provides an exceptional opportunity to develop specialized expertise within the leveraged loan market, offering crucial support in trade execution and market analysis. The Junior Trader will be an integral part of a collaborative team, contributing to portfolio positioning and deepening understanding of credit analysis and risk management.

• Team: Reports directly to the Senior Bank Loan Trader.
• Mission: This person will provide crucial support for bank loan trade execution and market analysis within the dynamic leveraged loan market.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Provide comprehensive assistance to senior traders, ensuring smooth daily desk operations.
• Market Intelligence: Serve as a primary liaison for new deal announcements and information, disseminating critical intelligence to investment teams.
• Trade Processing: Accurately process trade tickets for both primary and secondary market transactions.
• Execution & Management: Efficiently manage the Indication of Interest (IOI) process once approvals are secured and execute odd lot and smaller trades.
• Communication: Facilitate seamless communication and coordination between the trading desk, portfolio managers, and the central allocations team, while providing up-to-date market levels for securities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in Bank Loan Markets, Trading Desk operations, or a Financial Analyst role within an Asset Management, Financial Services, or Private Equity environment.
• Skills: Demonstrated competence in financial instrument structuring and documentation, proven expertise in conducting due diligence, and proficiency in industry-standard software such as Bloomberg, Aladdin, or WSO.
• Bonus: 5-7 years of experience with a strong background in credit analysis and corporate finance, a strong understanding of risk management principles, the ability to produce and present complex credit-related materials, and a proven track record of collaborating on process improvement.
