The TL;DR

• Location: In-store position across US, Mexico, or Puerto Rico
• Pay: $10–$21.5 hourly
• Team: Works under the close supervision of experienced groomers.
• Mission: This role trains individuals to perform fundamental grooming services, prioritizing pet comfort and safety while delivering excellent customer service.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Grooming Services: Perform limited grooming services including bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning under close supervision, adhering to company policies and standards.
• Pet Well-being: Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon at all times.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with pet parents, provide optimal customer service, address grooming inquiries, and offer timely resolutions.
• Salon Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe grooming area; disinfect and sanitize tools, and perform daily and weekly cleaning duties adhering to hygiene policies.
• Administrative Tasks: Schedule grooming appointments, manage paperwork, and maintain accurate grooming records.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early Career. Genuine passion for animals and a desire to pursue a career in pet grooming.
• Experience: 0-1 year of animal-related experience, including shelter volunteering or pet sitting.
• Skills: Capable of handling pets of all sizes and temperaments with care and empathy; effective verbal and written communication skills; basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior, and common grooming practices; availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Bonus: High-school diploma or GED is preferred; prior grooming salon assistance is preferred.
