Junior Operations Manager, Transportation | Quality Counts, LLC

This is a full-time hybrid role at Quality Counts, LLC, located in Houston, TX. Quality Counts (QC) specializes in providing essential transportation data collection services. This role is a launchpad for an individual who is built on grit, offering a unique opportunity to balance a corporate management role’s stability with a flexible indoor/outdoor work environment. The Junior Operations Manager will contribute directly to improving local roadways and communities by supporting engineers and planners with critical transportation data.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Business Growth: Assist the Associate VP of Operations to expand QC’s client network across the greater Houston area.
• Client Management: Manage existing client relationships and secure new projects for the company.
• Project Execution: Execute data collection projects, which includes installing equipment like video detection cameras and pneumatic tubes.
• Field Operations: Participate hands-on in surveys and data collection in various field environments.
• Community Impact: Provide data that helps engineers and planners improve local roadways and public infrastructure.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Junior Operations Manager role requiring a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business management, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience: 3-5 years of relevant management or business experience is required if a Bachelor’s degree is not held. Candidates must demonstrate an eagerness to learn how to run a small business operation and grow their business management career.
• Skills: A hands-on problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong attention to detail, technically capable, and confident in field operations using power tools. Must be comfortable working both indoors and out, rain or shine.
• Bonus: Willingness to travel nationally and attend local conferences as needed is preferred.
