Junior Loan Originator | CrossCountry Mortgage (CCM)

The TL;DR

• Pay: $16–$19 hourly, with bonus plan eligibility
• Team: Directly supports senior loan officers
• Mission: To learn lending guidelines, develop effective client relationships, and assist borrowers through the loan application process while ensuring all activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Loan Origination & Qualification: Assist senior officers with residential and commercial loan applications, including collecting financial information and pre-qualifying applicants based on lending guidelines.
• Client Communication & Coordination: Explain loan products and terms to prospective borrowers, maintain regular communication, and coordinate with processors, underwriters, appraisers, and title companies.
• Compliance & Record Keeping: Ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and compliant with regulations, and maintain precise records in loan origination systems (LOS) and CRM platforms.
• Business Development & Service: Follow up on leads to support business development efforts and provide excellent customer service throughout the loan process.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. This entry-level position is suitable for individuals beginning their career in the mortgage lending, banking, sales, or financial services sectors.
• Experience: Possesses at least 1 year of experience in mortgage lending, banking, sales, or general financial services.
• Skills:
• Possess an NMLS License required under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, coupled with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Skilled in reviewing and analyzing financial documents and providing excellent customer service.
• Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and loan origination software.
• Bonus: An Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is highly preferred, or a strong willingness to learn and adapt to mortgage products and lending regulations.
