Junior Financial Analyst | Bank of Hope

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Bank of Hope. As a Junior Financial Analyst, you will embark on a significant career path in finance, gaining hands-on experience in supporting financing transactions and developing a comprehensive understanding of the banking industry. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn the intricacies of financial modeling, transaction structuring, and client relationship management as part of a collaborative deal team. The role is fundamental in supporting the bank’s client engagement and strategic decision-making.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Pay: $19.00 – $20.00 Hourly
• Team: Collaborates closely within a deal team
• Mission: To support financing transactions, structure deals, and provide holistic client support while understanding industry dynamics.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Work on sophisticated financial models to support a variety of financing transactions, honing analytical and technical skills.
• Transaction Structuring: Structure complex transactions by carefully balancing the bank’s sound credit practices with the unique goals and expectations of clients.
• Deal Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the entire deal team, gaining exposure to the complete transaction lifecycle, including marketing, detailed analysis, due diligence, documentation, and ongoing portfolio management.
• Client Solutions & Products: Identify and learn about various bank solutions and product offerings across different departments, such as Treasury Management and Derivatives, to provide holistic client support.
• Market Analysis & Business Development: Cultivate a strong understanding of industry dynamics and market trends to inform strategic decision-making, and support business development initiatives through research and prospecting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with a strong academic record, holding a minimum GPA of 3.00. Candidates must also demonstrate a genuine interest in finance and financial markets, along with a desire to build a career in the industry.
• Experience: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, is required.
• Skills: Possess strong analytical capabilities to interpret data and exceptional communication skills to articulate findings clearly and concisely. Candidates should have a proven ability to take on significant responsibility, manage tasks effectively with a proactive approach, and work effectively both independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively as part of a high-performing team.
