Junior DevOps Engineer

Location: Sylmar, CA

Job Type: Contract (Only W2 or 1099)

Required Skills

Core Skills

• DevOps Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, with a strong preference for candidates with a mobile-focused background.
• CI/CD Tools: Strong practical experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Mobile App Workflows: Experience with mobile application build and deployment workflows for both iOS and Android platforms is a significant plus.
• App Store Releases: Familiarity with the release processes for both Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• Version Control: Strong understanding and practical experience with version control systems, specifically Git.

Technical Skills

• Programming Knowledge: Proficiency in at least one programming language among Java, .NET, or Swift.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with major cloud computing platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services), Azure, or GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
• Containerization: Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

Additional Skills

• Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting and debugging abilities to identify and resolve complex issues.
• Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team and with other stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Mobile Performance Monitoring: Experience with mobile app performance monitoring tools.
• Scripting: Knowledge and practical experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies for software development.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a US University with a good GPA.
• Communication: Demonstrated good communication skills.
