Applications Programmer/Analyst | Tokyo Electron US Holdings

The Tone:
This is an entry-level contract role at Tokyo Electron US Holdings. Tokyo Electron US Holdings is a subsidiary of Tokyo Electron Limited (TEL), a global, multi-billion-dollar corporation and a leader in the semiconductor industry. This position offers valuable corporate experience in business application development, business systems analysis, and data analytics. The role is critical for assisting in the definition, development, and maintenance of new software applications to support the company’s business requirements.

The TL;DR
• Role: Contract
• Type: 20 – 40 hours/week
• Pay: $21.06–$28.16 hourly
• Mission: Assist in defining, developing, and maintaining new software applications in support of business requirements, and leverage data to find insights and make recommendations.
• Tech Stack: Java, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop Software: Write, code, and test new software programs and applications according to specifications to enhance business functionality.
• Analyze and Improve Systems: Assess existing business systems and procedures, gather requirements, and recommend enhancements for applications and processes.
• Ensure Quality and Support: Design, run, and monitor software performance tests, analyze results, fix bugs, and liaise with IT specialists to resolve software problems.
• Derive Data Insights: Conduct data analysis for various business initiatives, identify trends, and present findings to stakeholders effectively.
• Document and Research: Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines, and conduct research on emerging application development software products and standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. This entry-level position focuses on gaining corporate experience in business application development, business systems analysis, and data analytics.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required, as this is an entry-level opportunity. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to learn new software and explain it to others.
• Skills: Familiarity with programming languages and technologies including Java, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and SQL. Essential skills also include excellent communication and problem-solving, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a commitment to accuracy and precision.
