Junior Accountant | PRODJECT, LLC

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person role at PRODJECT, LLC. PRODJECT is a creative agency specializing in brand strategy, concept development, and execution for events in fashion, music, art, and popular culture. This position is essential for supporting the company’s daily financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and contributing to timely financial reporting within the creative events industry.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Record Management: Maintain precise financial records by inputting transactions into accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Reporting Assistance: Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• Transaction Processing: Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, encompassing invoice entry and vendor payments.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial records to guarantee data accuracy.
• Expense and Payroll Support: Help track company expenses, aid with budgeting and financial forecasting for events and company, and assist with payroll processing and record maintenance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, coupled with knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, welcoming internships or entry-level positions.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bonus: Experience in the live events or theatre industry is a plus, as is experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or NetSuite.
