Junior Accountant | LHH

The Tone:
This is an entry-level role at LHH, supporting a well-established Entertainment company in West Los Angeles, with potential for a hybrid work schedule. This position plays a critical part in the company’s financial operations by ensuring the smooth processing of payments, managing accounts receivable, and communicating past due balances within the Grants department. The successful candidate will contribute to the financial health and compliance of contractual agreements.

• Mission: Owns the processing of payments, refunds, and invoicing, ensuring timely application of fees and compliance for contracted parties.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Process Payments: Process daily payments received via credit card, checks, wire transfer, and ACH, confirming receipt through email.
• Manage Accounts Receivable Records: Research and process refunds, maintain monthly reconciliation of unapplied payments, and investigate unknown payments and open credit memos.
• Generate Invoices: Perform monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc invoicing as required.
• Resolve Inquiries and Prepare Reports: Respond to email requests related to billing and accounts receivable, and prepare the bi-monthly aging used for dunning.
• Support Compliance: Prepare Contractual Compliance escalations of past due fees in the Naming Service portal and support Service Delivery requests received through the shared tracker.

• Background: Entry-Level.
• Experience: 3+ months of Accounts Receivable or Billing experience.
• Skills: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook; excellent written and oral communication skills; strong attention to detail and analytical ability to determine root cause; highly organized and able to work independently.
• Bonus: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
