The Tone:
This is a hybrid role at Ledgent, a respected financial services organization. The company is actively seeking a Junior Accountant to join its expanding accounting team. This position offers a foundational opportunity for recent graduates or early-career accounting professionals to acquire practical experience. The individual in this role will be instrumental in supporting key financial reporting, account reconciliations, and corporate accounting functions, contributing directly to the team’s ongoing success and the organization’s financial accuracy.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Closing: Assist with month-end close activities, including the preparation of journal entries.
• Account Integrity: Perform account reconciliations and investigate any identified discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
• Transactional Support: Support both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, while maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
• Reporting & Compliance: Prepare schedules and reports for management review and assist with annual audits and compliance requirements.
• Special Projects: Support various accounting and finance projects as needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level professional holding a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 0-2 years of accounting experience, including relevant internships.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, excellent communication, and organizational abilities.
