What You’ll Actually Do
• Close Activities: Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and tasks.
• Reconciliations & Entries: Prepare basic journal entries and assist with account, bank, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Reporting & Analysis: Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and necessary documentation.
• Operational Support: Collaborate with A/P, A/R, Payroll, and Finance teams to support daily accounting operations, and assist with audits, compliance requests, and supporting schedules.
• Strategic Involvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives, ERP system implementations, and contribute to project-based assignments with Protiviti.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a basic understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience: 1–3 years of accounting or related experience, including internships or contract roles, with exposure to ERP systems.
• Skills: Strong Excel skills, keen attention to detail, a genuine willingness to learn, adaptability in fast-paced environments, and effective communication and teamwork abilities.
