About the Role
The IT Systems and Support Intern is an entry-level internship within Egan Company’s Information Technology team, offering a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience. This role supports Egan’s Champlin office and remote work-sites, contributing to the Help Desk operations. Interns will participate in an intern-driven project to refresh the company’s fleet of cell phones, learning about mobile device management and gaining experience with system support and administration tasks. This position also involves planning and implementing long-term initiatives, company-wide technology changes, and system improvements.

What You’ll Do
• Contribute to the completion of the intern-driven project
• Provide top-notch customer service by visiting jobsites and customer sites regularly
• Respond to, diagnose, research, and manage incoming help desk requests
• Support PCs, ChromeOS, VMware, Horizon View Clients, Servers, and Networking
• Assist with server upgrades and maintenance
• Participate in network management and monitoring
• Be involved with planning and implementing long-term initiatives, company-wide technology changes, and system improvements

You’re a Good Fit If You
• Are currently enrolled in a two-year or four-year IT-related degree program, such as systems support, computer networking, cybersecurity, or computer science
• Must be able to work as an individual contributor and as part of a team
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills
• Possess the ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms
• Are able to build positive and collaborative relationships with end users and vendors
• Have strong organizational skills to deal with customer needs and competing priorities
• Must have reliable transportation to travel between offices and jobsites
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Bonus Qualifications
• Have familiarity with Google Workspace, ChromeOS, Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet, and PC hardware, TCP/IP, and networking
