IT Support Intern | PADT, Inc

What You’ll Actually Do
• Device Configuration: Assist with setting up and configuring laptops, desktops, and mobile devices for new and existing employees.
• Peripheral Management: Connect and test various peripherals, including monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, and docking stations.
• Software Administration: Install, update, and remove standard software applications under the guidance of experienced IT staff.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Help resolve common technical issues such as login problems, basic network connectivity, and printer malfunctions for employees through in-person support and ticketing systems.
• Asset Management: Document common issues and fixes for internal knowledge articles, and assist with organizing and maintaining asset records, including labeling equipment and updating inventory.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student, currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a high school or college program with an interest in IT, computer science, or a related field.
• Experience: Demonstrated interest in technology and helping people solve technical problems, with prior informal tech help to friends, family, school, or work being a plus.
• Skills: English language proficiency, including good oral and written communication; basic computer, email, and internet use; familiarity with Windows and basic computer settings (e.g., Wi-Fi, printers, file management).
• Bonus: A college student or recent high school graduate planning to pursue an IT, computer science, information systems, or related degree; comfort working independently, asking questions, and collaborating across departments.
