IT Infrastructure Intern | Pursuit Aerospace
The Tone:
This is an internship at Pursuit Aerospace, located in Whitesboro, NY. This role supports the IT Infrastructure team in crucial cybersecurity compliance and remediation projects, safeguarding systems and data from potential threats. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, Whitesboro, NY
• Team: IT Infrastructure team
• Mission: Ensure cybersecurity compliance and remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities to keep systems and data secure.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Execution: Work closely with IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity teams to execute on infrastructure remediation projects.
• Compliance Support: Assist with audits and assessments to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
• Network Configuration: Configure network switches to support segregation of operational technology assets from the IT network.
• Technical Support: Provide technical IT Infrastructure support to the organization.
• Ticket Management: Efficiently close support tickets as assigned.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering or a related technical field. Entry-Level.
• Experience: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, basic knowledge of IT Infrastructure standards and principles, strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bonus: Basic understanding of networking design and components, excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, ability to follow detailed procedures and policies, ability to work independently, experience in IT systems administration or cybersecurity.
