IT Helpdesk Intern (HYBRID)

Position Overview
We are seeking an IT Helpdesk Intern eager to learn and gain hands-on experience within a professional IT environment. This role is structured as a mentorship opportunity for a recent graduate or student who is embarking on their IT career and wishes to gain exposure to real-world systems, support workflows, and security concepts.
No prior helpdesk or enterprise IT experience is required. We are looking for an individual who is curious, dependable, and highly motivated to learn. Comprehensive training, guidance, and support will be provided.
What You’ll Do
Learn & Support Day-to-Day IT Operations
- Assist with Tier 1 helpdesk support under the direct guidance of senior IT staff.
- Help respond to basic user requests and issues.
- Learn the process of how IT tickets are logged, documented, and effectively resolved.
- Ensure that requests are accurately directed to the appropriate team when necessary.
Assist with Employee Onboarding
- Help prepare laptops and essential equipment for new employees.
- Assist with basic account setup and access requests (always with supervision).
- Learn how onboarding and offboarding processes function within a corporate IT environment.
Shadow & Learn
- Shadow members of the IT team to learn:
- How support issues are accurately diagnosed and effectively resolved.
- How systems are managed efficiently behind the scenes.
- How security-related issues and alerts are professionally handled.
- Ask questions, take comprehensive notes, and build foundational IT skills.
Grow Over Time
- Gradually take on increased responsibility as skills develop and proficiency grows.
- Learn foundational IT security concepts and best practices.
- Gain exposure to security-related work for those who are interested in pursuing that career path.
What We’re Looking For
- Recent graduate or student actively pursuing a degree or coursework in:
- Information Technology
- Cybersecurity
- Computer Science
- Or a closely related field
- Strong genuine interest in technology and a keen desire to learn how things work.
- Reliable, organized, and willing to actively ask questions.
- Comfortable communicating effectively with others and confidently asking for help when unsure.
- Positive attitude and a strong desire to grow both personally and professionally.
- Demonstrates a strong task-oriented approach and efficiently manages a wide range of daily responsibilities.
What You Don’t Need (We’ll Teach You)
- Prior helpdesk experience
- Knowledge of ticketing systems
- Advanced technical skills
- Enterprise IT or security experience
