Investment Operations Specialist | U.S. Bank
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at U.S. Bank, requiring working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week. This role is integral to the investment and brokerage operations, specifically within the New Account Application Team. As an Investment Operations Specialist, you will ensure the accurate and efficient opening and maintenance of investment accounts, supporting a seamless client onboarding and account maintenance experience behind the scenes.

• Mission: Ensure accurate and efficient opening and maintenance of investment accounts by diligently processing documentation and maintaining client information in brokerage systems.
• Tech Stack: Wealthscape, other operational systems
What You’ll Actually Do
• Documentation Review: Diligently review incoming account documentation for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all required information is present before processing.
• Quality Control: Execute thorough quality control checks on new account applications and various maintenance requests, upholding high standards for data integrity.
• Account Setup and Updates: Accurately open new investment and brokerage accounts and update existing client information and records within designated systems.
• Maintenance Processing: Process a wide range of account maintenance requests efficiently within Wealthscape and other essential operational systems.
• Workload Management: Manage and prioritize tasks received from assigned processing queues, ensuring timely completion while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
• Internal Support: Respond promptly to requests and inquiries from internal field representatives and investment advisors, providing necessary information and support.
• Procedural Adherence: Follow established procedures consistently across all tasks, supporting a variety of account types including brokerage accounts, IRAs, and Roth IRAs.
The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent, coupled with experience in financial services, banking, investments, brokerage operations, or a related industry.
• Experience: Four or more years of related experience, specifically involving processing documentation or conducting quality reviews in an operations environment. This role requires a thorough understanding of operational procedures and the ability to apply them consistently.
• Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills for internal interactions and good data entry skills for accurate record keeping.
• Bonus: An Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Familiarity with investment products such as brokerage accounts, IRAs, Roth IRAs, and retirement accounts. Advanced mathematical and/or accounting skills are a plus.
