Investment Operations Analyst @ Family Office | Coda Search
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at a well-established family office, partnering with Coda Search to find a skilled professional. The family office manages a diversified portfolio of alternative investments. This position is a broad, hands-on role, crucial for supporting the comprehensive investment operations across various asset classes. It involves significant exposure to investor reporting, fund onboarding, investment operations, and portfolio support within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Operations: Support day-to-day middle office operations across a diversified portfolio of alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and real assets.
• Onboarding & Coordination: Coordinate the onboarding of new funds, investment managers, and service providers.
• Reporting & Distribution: Prepare and distribute accurate and timely investor and portfolio reporting.
• Capital Activity Management: Monitor capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, and redemptions while maintaining precise investment records, and assist with cash management and transaction processing.
• Operational Resolution & Improvement: Reconcile investment activity, work closely with external partners to resolve operational issues, and identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, and enhance operational control.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, with a strong operational foundation in private markets.
• Experience: 4+ years of experience in middle office, investment operations, fund operations, or portfolio operations specifically within a family office, asset manager, fund administrator, or alternative investment firm. This includes direct experience supporting alternative investments such as private equity, private credit, hedge funds, or real assets.
• Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency and experience working with investment accounting or portfolio management systems. A strong understanding of fund structures, capital activity, and the complete investment lifecycle. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with strong attention to detail, alongside the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
