Investment Banking Vice President – Industrials & Diversified Industries | Mizuho
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Mizuho, located in New York, USA. Mizuho’s Banking Division provides investment and corporate banking coverage, sponsor coverage, advisory, and loan capital markets services to leading international corporations and financial institutions. This Vice President role is crucial for directly designing, originating, structuring, and executing significant mergers & acquisitions, financial advisory, and capital markets transactions for their client base. The position supports strategic transaction development and idea generation for potential acquisitions and investments.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Transaction Execution: Design, originate, structure, and execute mergers & acquisitions, financial advisory, global capital markets, and other global products for clients.
• Research & Analysis: Conduct extensive quantitative economic, industry, and company research and analysis to support strategic initiatives.
• Pitch Book Development: Draft and prepare detailed pitch books with comprehensive industry materials for multiple Industrials sub-sectors.
• Financial Modeling: Perform a broad range of corporate finance alternatives, financial modeling, valuation, comparable & relative value analyses, and market-specific analysis.
• Idea Generation: Facilitate and coordinate product group idea generation and solutions development across a broad platform of global capabilities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics with a senior career level, indicating extensive experience in investment banking.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 years investment banking, corporate finance, and capital markets experience gained with a top-tier global bank.
• Skills: Strong knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets, and risk & pricing analysis; proficiency in financial modeling and valuation; strong written and oral communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to tight deadlines.
• Bonus: Strong interest and understanding of the Industrials industry, with experience in banking transactions related to this sector; ideally, experience in the general industrials sector; possession of Series 79 & 63 licenses.
