Investment Banking Associate – M&A, AI Residency (Part-time) | Aptura

The Tone:
This is a part-time role at Aptura, located remotely. Aptura, a team formed from Lazard, Partners Group, and McKinsey, partners with frontier AI labs to embed real investment banking and private equity expertise into their models’ reasoning. The core purpose of this role is to provide the critical judgment and practical insights from deal-making that cutting-edge AI models require, ensuring they learn the nuances of valuation, financing, and regulatory standards from experienced professionals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop client-quality financial models, including valuations and operating models.
• Produce professional deal materials such as pitch books, teasers, and precedent analyses.
• Execute complete end-to-end deal tasks, encompassing full M&A or financing processes.
• Structure all work for effective learning by frontier AI models.
• Ensure all deliverables meet rigorous regulated industry standards for accuracy and compliance.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Mid-Career professional with a core domain knowledge in investment banking.
• Experience: 3 to 7 years in investment banking with real deal experience and closed transactions.
• Skills: Expertise in investment banking workflows, valuation and operating model creation, and the development of pitch and teaser materials.
