Investment Associate – Private Credit | Hampton Reid

This firm boasts a strong track record across multiple fund vintages and significant deal flow momentum. The Investment Associate position is essential, offering direct, meaningful exposure and substantial responsibility from day one within a lean deal team structure.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Construct comprehensive financial models and perform detailed credit analysis on prospective investments, encompassing a diverse range of asset types and business profiles.
• Investment Documentation: Prepare thorough investment memoranda that encapsulate findings and analysis, subsequently presenting these recommendations to the investment committee for approval.
• Due Diligence: Conduct in-depth diligence on various aspects of potential borrowers, including their financial statements, collateral quality, and overall asset strength.
• Deal Management: Support the execution of new deals and actively monitor an existing, active book of investments to ensure ongoing performance and compliance.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Others. A strong understanding of the private credit landscape, particularly concerning senior-secured, asset-backed credit strategies targeting small and mid-market businesses.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in the full investment lifecycle, including origination, comprehensive underwriting, deal closing processes, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
• Skills: Proven abilities in sophisticated financial modeling, rigorous credit analysis, clear and concise investment memorandum preparation, effective presentation to investment committees, and thorough due diligence practices covering borrower financials, collateral, and asset quality.
