Internship at Canon Production Printing: Hardware Simulator Development
Do you:
• Have an HBO IT or HBO (Applied) Computer Sciences background?
• Find the challenge of designing new applications that connect internal and external interfaces exciting?
• Possess a strong affinity for embedded software and Linux?
• Have experience with GIT?
If so, this internship might be perfect for you!
Project Overview:
Canon Production Printing collaborates with several international manufacturers to deliver complete solutions for high-value clients. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to work on real printers and develop a solution that will be used for years by CPP R&D. You will be involved in the entire software engineering process, from gathering requirements to testing, and you will be developing on real machines using state-of-the-art model-driven tools for Linux-based platforms.
The Challenge:
Canon’s printer configuration allows control of machines from other manufacturers, such as those that punch or crease paper sheets. These machines are expensive and not readily available within R&D. To overcome this challenge, you will be developing a hardware simulator based on one of Canon’s existing modules. You will design and develop the simulator software for an existing CPP stacking module.
The Team:
You will be part of the Finishing Team, which consists of four embedded software engineers and a product owner. The team members have a wide range of experience, providing a rich learning environment.
What’s in it for you:
• Challenging Assignment: Work on a real-world project with skilled coaching.
• Compensation: €500,- per month.
• Travel Costs: Compensation if you don’t have an ‘OV-weekcard’.
• Networking: Opportunity to connect with professionals inside and outside your field.
• Growth: Work in a company that values collaboration, innovation, and ownership.
