International Intern Vehicle Projects, QMP Steering and Processes Americas (Spring 2027) | BMW Group

The Tone:
This is an internship at BMW Group, located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, where you will become an integral part of new vehicle launch project teams. BMW Group is a global leader in premium automotive manufacturing, renowned for building high-quality vehicles. This role is essential for gaining experience within vehicle project management, parts quality management, and supplier-related processes, directly contributing to the successful introduction of new vehicles to the market. • Mission: This role supports the successful launch of new vehicles by managing project processes, parts quality, and supplier relations within the Americas region, contributing to clear communication on vehicle status.
• Tech Stack: intranet, SharePoint, Confluence

What You’ll Actually Do
• Facilitate: Lead and support team meetings and MN Level Management meetings to ensure smooth communication and progress.
• Maintain: Manage and update content on intranet, SharePoint, and Confluence sites to keep information current and accessible.
• Optimize: Identify and propose improvements to increase the efficiency of the team and department processes.
• Implement: Apply lessons learned from previous builds into successive phases of new vehicle launches to continuously improve processes.
• Report: Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to ensure successful launch within the supplier network, following up on identified deficits.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States, having completed at least 30 Credit Hours at the time of application.
• Experience: Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major), with transfer students requiring a GPA from their current university. Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week) and demonstrate a strong ability to work independently, with flexibility and proactivity.
• Skills: Understanding of vehicle project management, value stream management, parts quality management, and supplier capacity management principles. Proficiency in generating management reports and collaborating with suppliers for status meetings and audits.
• Bonus: Preferred degrees include Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
