The Tone:

The company specializes in accounting, auditing, tax, and business consulting for foreign-owned, midsized businesses primarily from German-speaking and European backgrounds operating in the U.S. This role offers an immersive experience, providing practical insights into international auditing, accounting, and tax consulting within a truly global workplace. The intern will support the firm’s diverse client base, contributing to its success in the international marketplace.

• Pay: $20–$32 hourly
• Team: Interdisciplinary team supporting US subsidiaries of foreign-owned companies
• Mission: Gain practical experience and insights into international auditing, accounting, and tax consulting within the US and German frameworks.
• Tech Stack: ProSystems Engagement, Microsoft Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Experience Gaining: Acquire practical experience in all areas of US and German auditing and tax consulting.
• Skill Development: Participate in training covering ProSystems Engagement, Microsoft Excel, preparation of bank reconciliations, cash audits, and tax estimations.
• Team Contribution: Work collaboratively within a high-performing and interdisciplinary team.
• International Engagement: Perform demanding tasks within an international business environment.
• Project Support: Support various accounting, auditing, and tax projects for a diverse client base.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. At least three semesters of economics studies with a focus on (international) accounting, auditing, and/or taxes.
• Experience: Initial theoretical and/or practical experience in accounting and/or taxes.
• Skills: Fluent German (spoken and written), fluent English (spoken and written), strong analytical abilities, self-initiative, high quality awareness, ability to work independently, team collaboration.
• Bonus: Internships abroad, additional qualifications.
