Intern – Student-Select Heath | Intermountain Health

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Involvement: Participate actively in a variety of projects that support the needs of the department and facility, working collaboratively with team members to identify solutions and perform tasks that accomplish both individual and team goals. You will attend team and department meetings, taking opportunities to share relevant knowledge and skills.
• Departmental Learning: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the department’s and facility’s functions, potentially through job shadowing various roles to fully grasp their contributions within the organization and working alongside other team members to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Specific Project Management: Be assigned and manage one or more specific projects throughout the internship, demonstrating an understanding of the process and full accountability for the results and outcomes. This involves working independently or as part of a team, involving others in a timely manner when needed, and striving to meet defined project timelines.
• Operational Support: Provide essential staff operational and clerical support to the department or facility as needed, contributing to the smooth day-to-day functions and overall team efficiency.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Concurrently enrolled in and progressing through an accredited education program in a related field of study, with documentation of enrollment and any required degrees or certifications.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in the knowledge and skills directly related to the intern opportunity, along with organization skills, detail orientation, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Skills: Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to consistently maintain a good rapport and a positive demeanor with employees and customers, and shown initiative to take on additional assignments, capable of working effectively both independently and in a team environment.
• Bonus: Experience in a related field.
