Business Development Intern | Telesat

The Tone:
This is an internship at Telesat, located in Arlington, VA. The Business Development Intern will collaborate closely with the TGS team, supporting various projects and initiatives critical to the company’s strategic growth and innovation. This role is essential for assisting with comprehensive research, insightful data analysis, performing administrative tasks, and actively contributing innovative ideas to help drive progress and achieve business objectives within the company, making a meaningful impact on real-world challenges.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Research & Analysis: Assist with comprehensive research tasks, which includes gathering relevant data, systematically analyzing findings, and summarizing insights to support critical strategic initiatives and project needs.
• Project Support: Provide essential support to the Business Development team by actively organizing, meticulously planning, and diligently executing various project plans from initiation through to successful completion.
• Collaboration & Innovation: Engage actively with colleagues to brainstorm new ideas, contribute innovative concepts to project development, and participate constructively in team discussions and decision-making processes.
• Administrative Management: Handle critical administrative tasks with precision, such as efficiently scheduling important meetings, diligently taking detailed meeting minutes, and meticulously organizing essential documents and project files.
• Efficiency & Contribution: Utilize various software tools and platforms proficiently to support project work and communication, while staying informed about current industry trends and best practices to propose and implement process improvements that enhance team efficiency and bring fresh perspectives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree program, with a preference for engineering, computer science, technical business management, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Must be a U.S. Citizen. No specific prior work experience is required for this entry-level internship.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail; Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Bonus: Previous internship or other relevant work experience is considered a valuable asset.
