The Tone:
This is an internship at Shambaugh & Son, L.P., an Indiana-based company recognized as one of the largest mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors in Indiana and a preeminent specialty contractor nationally. The company specializes in a full range of new and retrofit construction for industrial, food processing, commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and bio-fuel projects. This role offers students the opportunity to support various company functions, gaining practical experience across engineering, project management, technical, business services, accounting, clerical, or other operations.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person, Indiana-based
• Mission: To support various company functions, learn professional responsibilities, and apply academic knowledge to real-world projects, contributing to Shambaugh’s operations.
• Tech Stack: AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Learning: Apply academic knowledge and learn professional responsibilities relevant to your desired field.
• Administration: Perform essential administrative tasks to support office operations.
• Software: Utilize industry-standard software like AutoCAD or REVIT for project work.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with and assist experienced professionals on various assignments.
• Compliance: Complete necessary safety training protocols.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Currently enrolled in an academic program (High School or University).
• Experience: Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, self-directed work ethic, eagerness to learn new skills and tackle new projects, and reliable attendance including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
