This is a hybrid full-time internship available across Plante Moran’s offices in CO, IL, OH, and MA, with expectations for local, national, and occasional international travel. What You’ll Actually Do
• Engagement Participation: Participate in different phases of audit and/or tax engagements for clients.
• Core Activities: Plan, test, research, and report findings related to financial health.
• Diverse Workflows: Work with audits, compilations, reviews, compliance, financial statements, and benefit plans.
• Tax Services: Engage in corporate, partnership, individual, international federal, and state & local taxes.
• Client Interaction: Interact meaningfully with staff at all levels and with the firm’s diverse clientele.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level position, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in accounting, or a Master’s degree in accounting or tax.
• Experience: On track to complete the requisite degree and supporting credits to sit for the CPA exam, with the goal of successfully obtaining a CPA license. Academic success demonstrated by a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Skills: Detail-oriented leadership with strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical abilities. Fluent in both written and verbal Japanese and English. Understanding of the nuances of Japanese business culture.
