Construction Management Internship – Fall 2027 | Enerfab

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Mission: This role is designed to support active construction projects by assisting with technical and commercial documentation, cost estimating, RFI/submittal processes, and project closeout procedures, while also contributing to safety and quality management.
• Tech Stack: Bluebeam, CAD, Microsoft Office, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Blueprint Reading: Utilize computer programs like Bluebeam and CAD to interpret both 2D and 3D drawings relevant to projects.
• Project Execution: Collaborate with the Project Team to create necessary technical and commercial documents that facilitate the execution of ongoing construction projects.
• Cost Estimating: Provide support to lead estimators in the development of project estimates for potential new opportunities.
• RFI/Submittal Processes: Compile and provide appropriate documentation, including specific specifications, drawings, and scope of work, to support various departments.
• Project Closeout Procedures: Assist in collecting essential documents, reviewing change orders and modifications, confirming adherence to order specifications, and gathering key takeaways for future learning.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled and actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
• Experience: Proficiency in Windows applications, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Skills: Self-motivation, strong written and verbal communication abilities, and the capacity for thorough attention to detail.
• Bonus: A clear interest in pursuing a future career within the construction field, specifically focusing on industrial construction.
