About the Internship:
This internship within KPMG’s Economic and Valuation Services practice offers the opportunity to contribute to a global team working on complex business opportunities and challenges.
Responsibilities:
• Transfer Pricing and Tax: Understand how transfer pricing and tax principles and regulations impact businesses and collaborate with KPMG member firms worldwide to help clients achieve their transfer pricing goals.
• Value Chain Analysis: Research and analyze value chains and value drivers across various industries to evaluate transfer pricing options.
• Benchmarking: Research and analyze transfer pricing benchmarks.
• Deliverable Preparation: Assist in preparing transfer pricing reports, client presentations, and client communications.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with team members within KPMG US and member firms globally to support client objectives.
• Financial Analysis: Perform financial analyses and develop financial models using tools like Excel, AI, Alteryx, PowerBI, and KPMG proprietary software to assess the impact of intercompany transactions and transfer pricing policies.
• Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date on the latest transfer pricing and tax developments around the world.
Currently pursuings:
• Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative field with a focus on taxation.
• Academic Performance: Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Technical Skills: Coursework or a minor in Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Data and Analytics is preferred. Strong problem-solving ability, critical thinking skills, and proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Access, Power BI), Alteryx, Tableau, artificial intelligence (AI), and other data analysis and visualization tools are essential.
• Communication and Teamwork: Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills are required. Demonstrated ability to explain complex topics clearly and effectively, flexibility, adaptability, and resourcefulness in delivering high-quality work are valued.
• Additional Attributes: A demonstrated quality service mindset and experience in sales or customer service is a plus. Must reside within a reasonable commute distance to the office and be able to travel to various work locations. The ability to travel to client premises on short notice is also required.
• Authorization: Authorization to work in the US without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship is preferred.
