Construction Management Internship – Summer 2027 | Enerfab
The Tone:
This is an internship at Enerfab, likely located in Cincinnati, OH. Enerfab has over 120 years of experience, offering fabrication and construction capabilities to a wide variety of customers for the chemical, food & beverage, oil & gas, heavy industrial, and power industries. The internship program is a long-standing initiative, active for over 40 years, designed to be mutually beneficial by fostering growth for future business professionals, with many current management team members having started as interns. • Mission: Contribute to active construction projects by assisting teams with documentation, estimation, execution, closeout, and safety and quality management.
• Tech Stack: Bluebeam, CAD, Microsoft Office, Excel
What You’ll Actually Do
• Blueprinting: Utilize a variety of computer programs including Bluebeam and CAD for both 2D and 3D drawings.
• Project Support: Work with the Project Team to identify and produce project-specific technical and commercial documents to aid in the execution of active construction projects.
• Estimation: Assist lead estimators with developing project estimates for new opportunities.
• Documentation: Provide appropriate documentation to support various departments for RFI/Submittal processes, including specific specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
• Closeout: Collect necessary documents, review change orders and modifications, ensure order specifications are met, and gather takeaways for future learning during project closeout procedures.
• Risk Management: Conduct root cause analysis of any safety and quality events in order to ensure proper controls are utilized to prevent any further instances.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled and working towards a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
• Experience: Proficiency in Windows applications, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Skills: Self-motivated, possessing good written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrating the ability to provide thorough attention to detail.
• Bonus: Looking for a future in the construction field with a focus on industrial construction.
