Intern – Fall 2026 (Cleveland) | Turner Construction Company

The Tone:
This is an internship at Turner Construction Company, located in Cleveland, OH. Turner Construction Company is a leading builder, engaged in constructing a variety of projects across different sectors. This role is crucial for students seeking to build foundational knowledge in construction management, business, financial management, safety protocols, and quality control. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting the day-to-day development and lifecycle of construction projects.

• Team: Supervised by a supervisor, supporting project teams and various construction specialties.
• Mission: Assist in day-to-day supervised activities related to the development of a construction project to build foundational knowledge in construction management, business and project financial management, project safety protocols, subcontractor relationships, quality control, and project coordination and lifecycle.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Support: Support project teams with meeting coordination, material tracking, file management, document control, and progress reporting.
• Project Engineering Assistance: Assist with project start-up activities and provide support to Project Engineers, Project Superintendents, and Project Managers.
• Document Processing: Assist with the collection and review of information and approvals for processing shop drawings, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Site Observation: Attend project site visits to observe and document construction field activities.
• Safety Monitoring: Assist with monitoring contractor compliance with Turner’s safety program as directed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student enrolled in and actively pursuing a college or university accredited degree program or Co-op program, with recommended majors including Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or other related fields.
• Experience: At minimum 1 year of completed education in a college or university accredited degree program or Co-op program.
• Skills: Professional and clear verbal and written communication skills in English, ability to read and comprehend written information, exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail, proactive and eager to learn, and able to work independently with direction and supervision, and in a team environment.
• Bonus: Desire to work in construction management and learn about the construction industry; demonstration of interpersonal skills through student leadership, volunteerism, or other community involvement.
